Artemio B. Manuben Jr. leads the Franciscan Catechists in proclaiming the Word of God and the teachings of the Church to the people living in the streets using “Kariton” or catechetical cart. Together with his team, they brought the image of Mamay Mary, St. Francis of Assisi, the San Damian Cross and the audio-visual aids for catechesis. They called Mother Mary as the “Our Lady of the Peripheries” because she’s been with them every time they went to the peripheries of Manila such as Recto, Divisoria, Tondo, Parola, and Port area where the street people dwells with various vices. Some members are also fulltime Catechists at the Catechetical Foundation of the Archdiocese of Manila under Sto. Nino de Baseco Parish. They are conducting Recollection Concert to their assigned schools & parishes.
